Gill Meredith talks us through her time as a Wycombe fan.Who do you go to games with? My husband Dave and my three sons when they can make it.
How long have you been a supporter? This is my 23rd season.
What made you first come to matches? We lived in Maidenhead at the time and my sons wanted to go to football matches, so I plumped for Wycombe and we've been hooked ever since.
What was your first match as a fan? It was a Conference game. Martin O'Neill was our manager and Dave Carroll scored the winner.
What is your favourite moment supporting Wycombe? The Wimbledon FA Cup game away and the whole of that FA Cup run was fantastic, but the sheer emotion of us staying in the league at Torquay was incredible really.
Who is the best player you have seen at Wycombe? Steve Guppy.
Who is your favourite player to wear the quarters? Dave Carroll.
Tell us a funny story from your time supporting Wycombe? An evening game at Shrewsbury one year ended with the coach breaking down, and I got home at 4am, only to have to catch the train to work in London at 6.30am!
What does the club mean to you? We moved to the south Coast 10 years ago, so even home games are 'away’! I saw every single league game last season which involves thousands of miles travelling. The years have brought immense enjoyment and happy memories.
Describe Wycombe Wanderers in three words: Great family club.
