Gareth: Let's make the town proud

13 May 2015

Gareth Ainsworth is calling on Chairboys fans to help deliver an occasion for the people of High Wycombe to be proud of at Adams Park on Thursday night (k.o. 7.45pm).

Wycombe take on Plymouth Argyle in the second leg of the play-off semi-final with a one-goal lead from the first leg, as a dream trip to Wembley awaits the winners.

The Blues will be backed by their biggest crowd of the season in what will be a special atmosphere under the lights – and Ainsworth is encouraging as many people as possible to come along to be part of it:

“It would mean so much to the whole town, not just the club, if we were able to reach the final but we know we have a huge challenge ahead of us in the second leg.

“The fans who follow us week in, week out have been phenomenal and so much of what we’ve achieved on the pitch is down to their support, getting behind us when we’ve got our backs against the wall and helping the lads believe that we can achieve success together.

“Now we need everyone to pull together to do the same on Thursday night, so whether it’s your first game or your thousandth game following us, give everything you’ve got, bring your mates and let’s do something amazing that future generations of Wycombe fans can remember us by.”

Tickets must be purchased in advance (by noon on Thursday) and can be booked by calling 01494 441118 or visiting the Information Centre at Adams Park. Prices start at £15 for adults and £5 for juniors, while all under 7s go free. Fans with a previous booking history can also buy online.

Fans are asked to arrive early to reduce congestion close to kick-off. Parking is free before 6pm or with 4+ passengers in a car, but the car parks at the ground and along Hillbottom Road are likely to fill up quickly.

Pre-booked tickets can be collected from Ticket Office 1.
