Gareth Ainsworth has secured an extension to Danny Rowe’s loan deal from Rotherham United, keeping the 19-year-old at Adams Park until the end of the season.Rowe has been a valuable squad member for the Wanderers so far, proving his versatility in both defence and midfield, having impressed the manager during a similar loan spell at the end of the last campaign.
The youngster’s original loan deal came to an end after Saturday’s 1-0 success over Hartlepool United but he follows Alfie Mawson in extending his stay with the club until May.
Ainsworth said: “Danny is a terrific player and it’s important for us to keep him in our squad. We know we can rely on him every time he steps onto the pitch and I’d like to thank Rotherham for enabling us to extend his loan deal.”
Danny's deal does include a recall option, and does not cover the play-offs at present.
