Stephen McGinn has been handed a two-year deal with the club after impressing manager Gareth Ainsworth during his trial period with the club. The former Watford midfielder scored against Wealdstone and featured in friendlies against Aston Villa, Basingstoke Town and Aldershot Town, as well as joining the squad for training as part of their preparations for the new campaign.
McGinn, 26, left Dundee in the summer having started his career in his native Scotland with St Mirren, before moving south to spend three years with the Hornets and two with Sheffield United.
News of McGinn's capture was broken live on Sky Sports News this morning as part of their '92 Live' feature, visiting each club in the country as the start of the new season draws ever closer.
Ainsworth said: "Stephen's a very talented midfielder who's comfortable with the ball at his feet and he can make things happen.
"We were very keen to bring him here on trial to take a closer look at him and he's done more than enough to earn his contract. He's not quite 100% match-fit at the moment but I'm confident that when we get him fully ready, he can be an excellent player in League 2."
The former Scotland under-21 international has been handed the number 4 shirt. The deal remains subject to international clearance.
