Wanderers boss Gareth Ainsworth is one of five local legends to be honoured by Arriva bus company at the launch of their new fleet.
Arriva are unveiling five new single-decker vehicles to serve High Wycombe and the local community and ran a regional campaign to find inspirational icons whose names would be dedicated to each bus.Ainsworth was selected as a result of his outstanding achievements at Adams Park, leading his side to the play-off final at Wembley last season, and playing a major role on the pitch in the club's promotion to League 1 in 2011.
Also being honoured are Dr Frances Alexander - head of the Wycombe Environment Centre, Peter Cartwright - former county councillor, district councillor and mayor, Benjamin Disraeli - Earl of Beaconsfield and former Prime Minister, and Ricki Akhter Hussein, who was selected for his charity and volunteer work as well as being a former councillor and deputy mayor.
The five buses will carry the first name of each legend and will be unveiled at a private event at Adams Park in September.
