Team effort raises £1,400 for charity

14 April 2015

A number of Blues fans joined together to raise over £1,400 for Prostate Cancer UK on Saturday afternoon as part of an initiative organised by sisters Leanne and Lana Hurford.

A static cycle ride in the car park before the game gave fans the opportunity to pedal as many miles as possible in return for donations to the charity, who were also collecting money around the ground on a special day designated to raising money and awareness for the cause.

The collective effort racked up over 125 miles, thanks to the following participants:

Leanne Hurford, Lana Hurford, David Howells, Wojciech Batorski, Ben Woodward, Paul Mccloud, Sue Mccloud, Sue Lazarou, Chris Lazarou, Lee Salmon, Tom Bowers, Adam Clift, Anwar Kritah and his children, Liam Collins, Fred Mullin, David Roberton, Robbie Hayman, Sharon Stevenson, Tracy and Neil Hurford and Nick Priest.

Thanks also go to Wiola and Emma for supplying the bikes, and to Roy Wilkinson for providing a bike and transportation.
