Fun at the fete

8 September 2014

Blues pair Gareth Ainsworth and Matt Bloomfield were the star attractions at the annual North Dean Fete on Sunday afternoon.

Wanderers' manager and longest-serving player officially opened the fete at the Buckinghamshire village near Speen, before entertaining kids on the inflatable pitch where Bloomfield scored from inside his own half, and Ainsworth was overshadowed by a dazzling display by his son Kane!

However, the gaffer did have his chance to shine when he sprinted to success in the Dads' Race, even running backwards for the final few metres.

The fete - chaired by Wanderers chairman Andrew Howard - was well-attended by several hundred guests, with activities ranging from bowls, shooting, a bouncy castle, golf challenges and a coconut shy.
