Man City win Continental Cup at Adams Park

17 October 2014

A crowd of 3,697 saw Manchester City Women lift the FA WSL Continental Cup at Adams Park last night.

A second-half goal from Isobel Christiansen was enough to see off a valiant effort from Arsenal Ladies, sparking jubilant celebrations at the final whistle from City and their supporters.

The night was kicked off by a fun-filled FanZone outside the stadium, hosted by the FA, while boyband Kingsland Road performed on the pitch and soprano Emily Haig sang the national anthem before kick-off.

Representatives from the Wycombe Wanderers squad and the Wycombe Wanderers Ladies team watched on from the stands during an entertaining encounter which was televised live on BT Sport.

See next week's edition of Wanderers' matchday magazine Quarters for a photo gallery from the game.
