Boyband Kingsland Road have been announced as the live act ahead of the FA WSL Continental Cup Final at Adams Park.The five-piece rose to fame on the hit TV show X Factor last year, making it to the fourth week of the live shows, and released their debut single “Dirty Dancer” in August.
Kingsland Road will perform on the pitch before kick-off in the match between Arsenal Ladies and Manchester City Women on Thursday 16th October., while soprano Emily Haig has been invited to sing the national anthem ahead of kick-off.
She said: “I was thrilled and honoured to be asked to perform the National Anthem for the FA WSL Continental Cup Final 2014 and I’m really delighted to be a part of such a major sporting event.
“I am so looking forward to hearing the crowd join in with the anthem and to experiencing the atmosphere just before kick-off. I know it will be a really memorable occasion for me and I wish both teams all the very best for the match.”
Elsewhere around the ground, the FA are bringing their Junior Fanzone to the stadium, giving youngsters the opportunity to participate in a speed cage, collect giveaways, have their faces painted and meet a selection of FA WSL players.
