Gareth Ainsworth’s table-topping squad has been further strengthened by the loan signing of exciting attacker Fred Onyedinma from Championship side Millwall. The 18-year-old featured against the Blues in the Capital One Cup clash earlier this season and has featured a further three times for the Lions since then, having been named man of the match on his full debut for Ian Holloway’s men in March.
Nigerian Onyedinma goes straight into the squad for Saturday’s trip north to Hartlepool United in Sky Bet League 2, and will remain with the Wanderers until January 3rd inclusive.
However, the one-time Millwall Young Player of the Year will not be eligible to feature for the Blues in the FA Cup.
Ainsworth said: “Fred caught the eye when we played Millwall earlier in the season and I’m really pleased to bring him to the club.
“He’s a very lively attacker who can play either on the wing or down the middle, and he’s got plenty of pace, enthusiasm and strength which can help the team.
“I’m grateful to Ian Holloway and Marc Bircham at Millwall for allowing Fred to join us and I hope we can play a significant role in the development of yet another talented young player.”
