Gareth Ainsworth has strengthened his defensive options with the capture of Portuguese right-back Sido Jombati.
The 26-year-old left Cheltenham Town following the expiration of his contract earlier this month after three years at Whaddon Road, making 134 appearances and scoring five times.
Jombati impressed against the Blues in the clash between the two sides in March, supplying the inch-perfect cross for the Robins’ goal, and arrives at Adams Park on a two-year deal.
He had previously enjoyed success at non-league level after arriving in England from Portuguese giants Sporting CP, winning the Conference South with Weymouth and earning Player of the Year awards with both Basingstoke Town and Bath City.
Ainsworth said: “I’ve seen Sido play many times and he’s always caught my eye. He’s tall, very quick, athletic and good on the ball. He's also an outstanding professional and I’m sure he’ll be a really good addition to the squad.
“He’s got great experience of this level from his time at Cheltenham and he will fit in well here.”
