Pierre extends Wanderers loan spell

31 March 2014

Centre-back Aaron Pierre has extended his loan spell at Adams Park until the end of the season.

The 21-year-old had to be patient for his first start after joining on loan from League 1 side Brentford at the end of February, but he has excelled in his two appearances so far, playing a major role in Wanderers’ 0-0 draw at promotion-chasing Scunthorpe United on Saturday.

“I’ve played the last two games and I’m getting my confidence up and getting my rhythm back,” Pierre told Chairboys Player.

“Hopefully I’ve shown the gaffer that I can be a massive part of the team.

“It was frustrating at the start (of the loan spell) because everyone wants to play. I just wanted to get a little run-out, but I got my chance and I think I’ve taken it.

“There’s a lot more to come, I’m just getting comfortable with the players around me and the more comfortable I am the more will come out.”

Pierre looks set to be involved again on Saturday when Wanderers welcome Dagenham & Redbridge to Adams Park (k.o 3pm).

Tickets for the game start from just £5 for juniors, £9 for young adults, £11 for seniors and £15 for adults. U7s can enjoy this and all league fixtures for FREE.
