Dale Jenkins introduces Nathan Evans to the club.
19 year old Nathan Evans signed a one year professional deal with the club from July 1st after winning the Samsung Win A Pro Contract tournament.
The left winger, who can also operate as a striker, fought off over 5,700 amateur footballers in the competition to earn a contract with the Wanderers.
Evans spent six years in the youth academy at Newcastle United from 2007 but despite receiving some knock backs has always remained determined to make it as a footballer. The winger attended trials at Stoke City and Norwich City as well as travelling abroad to Romania to try his luck at Dinamo Bucharest.
The boyhood Middlesbrough fan spent last year at Whitby Town. Meanwhile, Nathan made it through a series of regional trials and assessment days, before competing in an 11-a-side final at Leyton Orient’s Matchroom Stadium in March.
Following the final, Nathan spent time in an intense boot-camp, training with the Wycombe first-team squad before manager Gareth Ainsworth chose Evans as his man. The wide man will look to prove himself in the quarters and frighten League Two defenders with his raw pace and trickery in his potential breakthrough season.
