PACE grateful for generous donations

19 July 2014

The PACE Centre would like to thank fans for contributions to their collection ahead of the clash with Chelsea on Wednesday night.

The Aylesbury-based charity were selected by Matt Bloomfield to be the beneficiary of donations at his testimonial against the Premier League side, and were thrilled to have raised £500 to aid their work in transforming the lives of children and young people with motor diseases including cerebral palsy.

£500 pays for 100 hours' rental of a specially configured trike to foster independent motor co-ordination, or for 10 grasp bars for children to practise standing, sitting and posture.

You can still contribute to the charity online at or by sending a text with the message ‘PACE08 £5’ to 70070.

PACE supports just over 100 children, of all ages up to 18, including six families from High Wycombe, with a further seven from the local area of Amersham, Great Missenden, Penn and Princes Risborough, with many more supported in Buckinghamshire and the surrounding counties across Southern England, including North London.

In addition to their work with children, they work closely with families to ensure that they get the day-to-day guidance, counselling and practical help they need to support their children’s development. They are committed to providing a voice to children with physical disabilities and their families and to being an advocate on their behalf.
