Blooms: "A dream come true"

16 July 2014

Wanderers legend Matt Bloomfield says his testimonial against Chelsea will be a night he'll remember forever.

Bloomfield celebrates 10 years at Adams Park with a prestigious pre-season friendly against Jose Mourinho's Chelsea on Wednesday night, with a crowd well over 7,000 expected to walk through the turnstiles.

And speaking in a special interview with Chelsea TV, which can be viewed in full below, Blooms says it will be an 'honour' to walk out at the stadium which holds so many happy memories for him:

"First of all, to get my testimonial is such a big honour and to play such illustrious opposition as Chelsea is a dream come true.

"It's a great pre-season friendly for us but to have it doubling up as my testimonial means it's going to be a fantastic night.

"The effect that Chelsea have had on the crowd - and the response that I've had from fans - has been brilliant and I'm so glad they're coming down. It's going to be really special."
