A representative from the Royal Air Forces Association (RAFA) has written a letter of thanks to Wycombe Wanderers.
The club granted access for the RAFA to have a presence at the Scunthorpe United fixture on Saturday 14th December, which included a collection prior to the 3pm kick-off. The volunteers,
made up of members of the local RAFA Branch and cadets from the High Wycombe Air Training Corps Squadron,
then took their seats to watch the Wanderers in action as the team battled to a dramatic 1-1 draw with the high-fliers. RAFA works in support of both serving and ex-serving members of the RAF and collects throughout the year to maintain its delivery of welfare.
Meanwhile, the Chairboys continue to support the ‘Ticket For Troops’ initiative, which offers the Armed Forces free tickets to big events, including football, rugby and cricket matches, as well as top music acts.
The club contribute 50 tickets per match for troops and their families to sample live football at Adams Park, as a show of support and gratitude for the bravery shown by those serving their country.
