Gareth Ainsworth says the Wanderers faithful saw his side home for all three points against leaders Chesterfield on Saturday.
The Adams Park crowd were in fine voice throughout the game, especially in the final stages as the Spireites looked for a dramatic way back into the contest.
“I have nothing but praise for the fans and the board for backing me - I’ve been on a nasty run,” said Ainsworth.
“Many managers have been changed but to stick by us, to see the building we’re doing, the performances coming – that one’s for everyone.
“It was great to hear the fans at the end and I know that comes with a win. I understand that and we’ll try and keep this run going.
“They don’t realise how much they help. I played 600 games and I know how much the fans mean. When they’re negative you can hear it, but when they’re positive, wow, that certainly drives it home.
“When you’re in the corner trying to keep the ball and they’re shouting with us for every decision, they’re kicking every ball and they’re heading every ball.
“I’m crazy on the touchline but some of those fans were just as bad as me!
“The reaction from the fans was superb, it’s what they’ve been waiting for and what I’ve been waiting for, it was a deserved win.
“I’m extremely proud to be the Wycombe manager and thanks to everyone for the support, it has been great.”
