Gareth Ainsworth and chairman Andrew Howard were guests at the Ex-Players Association's annual dinner at Adams Park at the end of November. The night celebrated the club's achievements in the years ending in a '4' throughout the decades, including promotion in the Wembley play-off final of 1994 with stars including Paul Hyde, Matt Crossley and Steve Thompson in attendance.
There was also a poignant speech from Howard Kennedy, who was diagnosed with terminal cancer last year. Howard, who scored 100 times in 407 appearances for the Blues, has set up a charity named The Patient's Trust to help, support and advise doctors and patients who face a similar situation to his own.
The dinner helped to raise £1,500 for his cause through various fundraising initiatives and the club would like to urge supporters to support the charity in any way they can.
