The Big Match Preview - Stevenage

22 August 2014

After back-to-back home games, Wanderers make the short trip to Stevenage on Saturday (k.o. 3pm).

Boro won their opening fixture of the season at home to Hartlepool but have since found results harder to come by, losing to Watford (in the cup) and Southend before a cruel late equaliser denied them all three points against Plymouth in midweek, and infuriated manager Graham Westley.

The Hertfordshire outfit are also short on numbers after a spate of injuries robbed them of several first-team players, although dangerman Adam Marriott is expected to return along with Darius Charles, Chris Whelpdale and Charlie Lee.

Meanwhile, Wycombe will look to recapture the form that saw them defeat Newport and Carlisle in their first two league games, having suffered a 2-0 loss to Tranmere on Tuesday.

Gary Doherty remains sidelined with his knee injury and midfielder Josh Scowen is rated as doubtful.
