Stars of the show

29 August 2014

Wanderers entertained thousands of visitors with a variety of activities at the Bucks County Show near Aylesbury on Thursday.

Manager Gareth Ainsworth was joined by players Matt Bloomfield, Matt Ingram, Charlie Horlock, Tommy Fletcher and goalkeeping coach Barry Richardson as the club challenged youngsters to ‘Beat The Keeper’ while there were also opportunities to interview the players, commentate on a DVD of the 3-1 win over Carlisle United and have photos taken with the Blues stars and Bodger, the club mascot.

The Blues were able to distribute hundreds of leaflets advertising forthcoming fixtures at Adams Park and invite guests to enter a prize draw for a VIP matchday experience for the clash with Bury next weekend.

There was an extra surprise treat as England cricket captain Alastair Cook paid a visit to the marquee and met the Wanderers representatives, leaving a lasting impression on cricket-mad Matt Bloomfield!

The club will also be at North Dean Fete on Sunday 7th September – pop along to visit our stall and take part in the activities.
