Gareth Ainsworth has received mixed news on the injury front ahead of Saturday’s trip to Newport County (k.o 3.07pm).
Centre-back Leon Johnson is available again after returning to training following a hamstring injury, but Matt Bloomfield (hamstring) is a doubt after coming off against Dagenham & Redbridge last Saturday.
“Blooms was out for a year so I’m not going to risk him at all,” Ainsworth told Chairboys Player.
“It was just a twinge and we’ve left him out of training for a few days.
“He could possibly make Saturday and we’ll see where he is – I won’t rule him out yet. We’ll be cautious with him and he’s an important part of the squad.”
Blues’ boss added: “Johnno’s back in training and Anthony Stewart’s really close as well. We’re looking at next week for Paris and Doc is a case of when and if really - he’d have to put protection on his arm to enable him to play.
“Anthony Stewart is touch and go. He had a hamstring so we have to be careful with that but having Johnno back again bolsters the squad and it’s good to have experience at this stage of the season.”
