Josh Scowen has been ruled out of this evening’s Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tie at Exeter City after picking up a slight ankle knock in Saturday’s win over Southend United.Scowen was forced off after 19 minutes, but the 20-year-old only rolled his ankle and is not a major injury concern.
Fellow midfielder Stuart Lewis could be involved again after serving the last game of his three-match ban, while Matt Bloomfield suffered no reaction following his first appearance in over a year.
Gareth Ainsworth said: “He’ll definitely be out. He took a whack on his ankle in the tackle and that’s Josh Scowen – he’s going to pick those up.
“With Stuart Lewis coming back and Matt Bloomfield returning, which was a great sight after a year out, I think we are strong in midfield.”
This evening’s game kicks off at the earlier time of 7.15pm and tickets are only available from the ticket booth near to the away end at St James’ Park.
They are priced at Adults: £10, Over 60s/Students/U18s: £5 and U12s: £2.
