Morgan's stepping up his recovery

15 October 2013

Top scorer Dean Morgan is expected to return to light training on Thursday.

The striker, who has scored five times in his last four games, has missed the last four matches with a nerve problem in his thigh, but took part in today’s (Tuesday’s) warm-up with the rest of the squad.

Steven Craig is also set to return to light training as he continues to recover from a viral infection. The forward was at Adams Park for both of last week’s victories, but was not fit enough to feature.

There’s further good news for Gareth Ainsworth as Matt McClure was involved with the rest of the squad today, while Gary Doherty will be back in full training on Thursday. The duo both missed Saturday’s win over Torquay United through illness.

Leon Johnson will not be involved, however, as he awaits results from a scan on his hip.
