Max Kretzschmar has dedicated his winner to the Wanderers supporters that made the journey to Bristol Rovers on Saturday.Blues were backed by a vocal following and Kretzschmar struck in front of the Chairboys fans for the third time this season to send the travelling faithful back to South Bucks happy.
“I’ve got a knack of that! (scoring at the Wycombe end),” the midfielder told Chairboys Player.
“Hopefully it just keeps happening, but I’d like to do it at home as well. The away support were brilliant again and the best feeling is making them pleased on a long journey.
“We all know how long it takes and the effort they put in to come and watch the games, so that one was for them!
“We disappointed the fans on a couple of occasions at home and obviously went down to 10 men against Burton.
“Gaz said he wanted a reaction and we’ve provided him with one. It’s three wins on the bounce and hopefully we can keep marching up that table.”
It’s the second time this season that Kretzschmar has come off the bench to secure all three points, after scoring twice at Hartlepool in early September, and he revealed that some very important people have missed all of his professional goals.
He added: “My parents are away on holiday again, as they were when we played Hartlepool.
“I might make them go on holiday all the time because it seems to be working! They’ll be very happy when they get back.”
