Gaz: Together we can triumph

5 October 2013

Gareth Ainsworth says the club’s collective spirit can see the Wanderers get back to winning ways at this weekend’s Family Fun Day at Adams Park.

Following last weekend’s defeat to Rochdale – which ended the Blues' six-match unbeaten run – Ainsworth hopes that the fans can continue to rally behind the players to ignite another winning streak starting at home to Burton Albion.

Supporters can arrive as early as 12pm where a number of activities will be taking place including the likes of a football skills session, FIFA 14 with EA Sports and bouncy castles, along with a player signing session which will take place at the marquee between 12.45 and 1.15pm.

Ainsworth hopes this weekend will be a springboard for an influx of new fans to come regularly to Adams Park, telling Chairboys Player: “I know there are fans in Wycombe who don’t come to games – so come to the game and make that transition.

“Come down, see what we’re all about and if you like it then stay, if you don’t then fair enough, but I’m sure you can add to the spirit, add to the fun and add to the winning experience - the more the merrier.”

Despite the 3-2 defeat at Rochdale last Saturday, the 40-year-old insists his side remain in buoyant mood ahead of the visit of last year’s play-off semi-finalists.

He added: “In past times their heads may be down after a defeat, but not this lot. They’re buzzing for it, as they forget about defeats quickly and move on to the next one.

“So make sure you get down and support the lads this weekend – ‘One Wycombe’ can win this!”

A family of four (two adults & two children) can attend the game for just £25, while entry for adults is £15, senior citizens £11, young adults (19-25) £9, juniors (eight to 18-year-olds) £5 and children (U7) are FREE. These prices are for all areas of the ground.
