Report: Slough 0-3 Wanderers

6 November 2013

The Chairboys put in a hugely-professional performance to comfortably progress into the semi-final of the Berks & Bucks Senior Cup.

Team: Horlock, Scowen (Bloomfield 46), Dunne, Johnson (Stewart 80), Doherty, Cann-

Matt Spring wrapped up a good evening’s work in style midway through the half with a 35-yard rocket which went in off the post.

Substitute Matt Bloomfield doubled the Blues’ advantage four minutes later when he burst into the Slough area and fired low under Jake Somerville.

The second half was only two minutes old when the Wanderers finally did break the deadlock, Charles Dunne’s fierce shot being deflected into his own net by Ryan Lake.

But from then on it was pretty much all Wycombe, with Steven Craig going close, Jo Kuffour seeing a header cleared off the line and Jon-Paul Pittman hitting the outside of the post before the break.

Charlie Horlock was the first of the two keepers to be called into action, tipping Warren Harris’ powerful header over the bar from close range.  Svärd,
Spring, Kretzschmar, Kuffour (Morias 68), Craig, Pittman. Unused sub: Ingram.
