Morgan agrees Adams Park stay

13 May 2013

Dean Morgan has agreed a new one-year deal with the Wanderers, keeping him at Adams Park until the end of the 2013/14 campaign.

The 29-year-old has brought an attacking flair to the Blues since arriving in September and scored nine goals in 35 appearances last season.

“I’m very pleased,” Morgan told Chairboys Player. “Since September I’ve enjoyed my time and I think next year will be a special year.

“Gaz has made a big difference to me personally and the team so I think it could be a very good year.

“I said to the people looking after me that I wanted it sorted as soon as possible because I wanted my summer to be settled and to know where I’ll be going and what I’ve got to be doing.

“I’ve known some of the boys here a long time and I’ve played against Gaz many times in my career and that mutual respect was there before I even joined.”

Morgan follows in the footsteps of Matt Bloomfield who committed himself to the club for a 10th year on Friday.

Meanwhile, midfielder Emmanuel Ighorae has not been offered a new deal to stay with the Blues. The club would like to thank Emmanuel for his efforts and wish him all the best for the future.
