Close to 100 fans joined forces with Matt Bloomfield, Sam Wood, Josh Scowen, Dave Winfield, Matt McClure and Leon Johnson to raise over £3,000 for the Blues in Kenya initiative on Saturday.
The entertaining evening, which was held in the Vere Suite at Adams Park, took the form of a sport quiz with Bloomfield captaining Winfield and McClure, and Wood skippering Scowen and Johnson.
As well as a number of quickfire question rounds, there were also ‘what happened next’ and observation rounds, a mini-golf obstacle course and a captains’ challenge which was filmed on the Adams Park pitch.
Blooms’ team eventually ran out winners on a tie-break after Wood, Scowen and Johnson had staged a late fightback.
There was also plenty of audience participation with a heads and tails game, picture round and hula-hoop challenge. The evening finished with a raffle and auction before Bloomfield took to the mic to explain just what he and the rest of the volunteers will be doing out in Nakuru next month.
