Lewis wants to reward Wanderers support

12 March 2013

Stuart Lewis says that Gareth Ainsworth has ensured the atmosphere around the squad has remained positive despite Saturday’s defeat at Rochdale.

Wanderers welcome Rotherham United to Adams Park on Tuesday (k.o 7.45pm) and Lewis, who opened his account for the season at Spotland, wants to put on a show for the Chairboys faithful.

“Gaz said from where we’ve come from in November to where we are now is a massive achievement,” Lewis told Chairboys Player. “But we’ve still got 10 games left and 30 points to play for.

“We can’t getlackadaisical and put pay to the positives we’ve had in the past three or so months. We’ll be positive as always.”

He added:  “I said down at Torquay that the result was for the fans and we disappointed them at Rochdale.

“They came up and paid their money and it was disappointing to put in a performance like that.

“We’ll go again on Tuesday and be back on it – hopefully we can get a good result.”
