Gareth Ainsworth could enjoy a return to QPR in the first round of this season’s Capital One Cup.
The first-round ties will be played in the week commencing 5th August 2013, just a few days after the opening match of the 2013/14 league season.
Wanderers will discover their opponents on Monday 17th June 2013, with details of the draw to be made public at 9.30am here on wwfc.com.
The draw, which will be both seeded based on last season’s league tables, and also regionalised, will consist of 70 Football League clubs.
As well as the prospect of facing his former club, Ainsworth’s men may be paired with Brighton & Hove Albion, Leicester City or Watford, who the Wanderers took the extra-time at the same stage of the competition last season.
