New recruit Paris Cowan-Hall says he cannot wait to learn from Gareth Ainsworth. The 22-year-old agreed a two-year deal with the Chairboys on Tuesday, and the winger believes that Ainsworth, who made 600 professional appearances during a 20-year career, is the perfect manager to help him develop.
“I’ve spoken to the gaffer and he’s said that he likes the way I play, but there are things that I can work on,” Cowan-Hall told Chairboys Player.
“He was a very complete right-midfielder, his crossing for one was very good and there are things that he can teach me.
“I can play left and right, so I’m a little bit versatile. It’ll be good for him to take me under his wing and show me the ropes.”
Cowan-Hall featured 45 times for Plymouth last season and the former Portsmouth man has already highlighted the games against his old clubs as ones he is relishing.
He added: “I was at Plymouth a year and Portsmouth for a number so they’re the main ones that stand out for me.
“I played against Portsmouth for the first time in the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and I scored so I was happy with that. Hopefully I can do the same when we play them again.”
