Marvin McCoy says he wants to make up for lost time after an injury-hit 2012/13.
The right-back suffered lon the opening day of last season as the Wanderers took Watford to extra-time in the Capital One Cup, and subsequently missed the next four months of the campaign. igament damage and a fractured fibula
He returned in early December and went on to make a further 10 appearances as Gareth Ainsworth’s side climbed the League 2 table.
“I think I’ve got a point to prove after I had the big injury last season,” McCoy told Chairboys Player.
“Now I’m injury-free I just want to get in and play and show what I can do again.
“It was a big blow, but I’ve shown I’m a strong person and I’ve come back fit. This season I just want to play and show everyone what I can do.
“I must admit that last season I was a bit jealous of some of the lads that were playing and the interaction he (Ainsworth) had with them and the results they were getting.
“I was on the bench, but I was a bit jealous of the success they had and I think that’s good because I want to be a part of that this season.
“It looked so appealing to be involved in and Gaz really got the lads going and the fans were part of it. It was all brilliant and hopefully we can do the same again.”
