Chairboys paired with Leicester in cup

17 June 2013

Wanderers will entertain Championship side Leicester City in the first round of the Capital One Cup.

The tie will see the two teams go head-to-head for only the second time in a competitive fixture, the first coming in 2001 when the Blues won 2-1 to reach the FA Cup semi-final.
Gareth Ainsworth told wwfc.com: "At some stage in the competition you are going to get a big tie and we’ve got one straight away.

"Leicester are a club with a big history and one of the favourites to go up from the Championship.
"It will be a good challenge for us and it’s one we are looking forward to."

Week commencing Monday 5th August is when the game will take place, but a
confirmed date and ticket details will be announced in due course.
