Dean Morgan says a full pre-season will help him hit the ground running when the Wanderers return to League 2 action. The 29-year-old, who has scored three goals in as many friendlies, joined the Chairboys last September and therefore missed out on a proper pre-season.
However, he believes the added preparation he has had this time around will see him firing on all cylinders come Morecambe on 3rdAugust.
“I feel good and I feel confident,” Morgan told Chairboys Player.
“Hopefully I can score a lot of goals and that’s what I’m aiming to do. Three in three is a good start and hopefully that can continue.
“I’m starting from the beginning with the rest of the boys and am on par with everybody in the rest of the league.
“I can get fitter and stronger, so hopefully I’ll just get better and better.
“All I wanted to do was come back knowing that I’m starting from the beginning with everybody and I have a target to score as many goals as I can.
“Me and the staff have got a little chart up and hopefully I can hit all of those targets. There’s a lot of games, so I’ll be breaking the season down into quarters.”
