Jesse Kewley-Graham believes last season’s loan spell at Saturday’s opponents Havant & Waterlooville has seen him progress as a player.
The midfielder spent the latter part of the campaign at the Blue Square South outfit and is looking forward to returning to Westleigh Park.
“I was on loan there last year and I’m looking forward to seeing all the boys that were there again,” Kewley-Graham told Chairboys Player.
“They brought me on really well. As a young player you need to get games under your belt. I got eight or nine games, as well as the 10 appearances for Wycombe.
“All a young player needs is games and hopefully this year I can keep going.”
Saturday’s trip to Havant is the Blues’ first outing since the 1-1 draw with Port Vale 10 weeks ago and Kewley-Graham says the squad are in good shape ahead of their return to action.
He added: “Hopefully we can get off to a winning start. I don’t know if we’ll be playing 45 minutes or if Gaz will put a side out to play the full 90.
“We’ve been doing really well with our fitness so hopefully we can carry on and take it into the 45 minutes or 90 that we’ll be playing.
“It’s a lot different (match action to training). You see some of the players like Josh Scowen and Stu Lew on the pitch and they make up as much ground as anyone else on a team put together.”
Tickets for the game priced at £8 for adults and £5 for concessions (Seniors, Students & U16s) and can only be purchased on arrival at Westleigh Park.
