Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth says he’s happy with his squad and isn’t anticipating to make any moves before the January transfer window closes.
“I’ll continue to try and affect the players that are at the club. It’s a great club and I’m really happy with the way things are going at the moment, but we haven’t finished the job yet, not by a long way. There’s plenty of work still to do.”
He added: “I’m glad none of our players that have been linked with moves have gone yet – I’m still waiting for the last week to pass quite quickly! If that happens, that happens, all I want to concentrate on is the positives – I can’t do anything about injuries and people not here, but I can do things with the squad that will be here.
“If there’s any money available, I’m sure the Trust would say ‘what do you want to do’, but I’ve got huge respect for Don Woodward and all the guys on the Trust. I’m happy with my squad and don’t feel I need to bring anyone in at the moment.”
“Somebody can’t put their hands in their pockets now and give you thousands of pounds when things aren’t going exactly how you want them to. We really have to do it right and that includes not bringing people in for thousands of pounds, but I’m happy with that.
“I’m expecting it to be quiet as it has been,” he told Chairboys Player. “I’ve always said this club has been through a huge change and people don’t realise just how big of a change that’s been.
Ainsworth’s men are one of the form sides in npower League 2, winning seven of their last 11 outings and rising from the foot of the table to six points off the play-off places.
