Stewart stars in tonight’s programme

Tonight’s in-depth interview in ‘1887’ is with centre-back Anthony Stewart, who discusses being back in the side, playing alongside his former school-mate Charles Dunne and his future aims.

He added: “I know it’s a cliché but we’ve just got to continue taking games one at a time. You can’t wish for something you haven’t got, we’ve got to keep our form going.”

“We are all young and want to go places, so we are hungry to do the right things.”

He said: “As long as everyone’s talking, communicating and performing then I think it doesn’t matter about age.

The 20-year-old has been in fine form at the heart of a young Wanderers defence – Dave Winfield being the oldest at 24 - helping the team to three consecutive clean sheets and victories.
