Scowen suspended for two games

13 February 2013

Josh Scowen will miss the Wanderers’ next two outings after picking up his 10th yellow card of the season in Tuesday’s defeat to Bradford City.

“I’ll adjust the team accordingly for Saturday – I’m looking forward to the game.”

“It was always going to happen, now it’s happened I know when he’s going to be missing.

“He won’t have to go through the rigours of games. He’s been one of our pivotal performers in the run we’ve been on.

Gareth Ainsworth said: “Obviously it’s a blow but I’ll put a positive spin on it – he’ll have a 10-day break from games and come back fresh.

The suspension means the all-action midfielder will be forced to sit out the trip to Bristol Rovers on Saturday and the visit of Southend United the following weekend.
