Gareth Ainsworth says he will not risk Bruno Andrade and Joel Grant against Fleetwood Town on Saturday if they are not fully fit.
The duo were both substituted during the second half of Tuesday’s 2-1 victory at Torquay after struggling with ankle problems.
“Bruno’s a strange one,” Ainsworth told Chairboys Player. “He feels he’s right, but everyone that saw him play saw it wasn’t 100% Bruno.
“We want him to be perfect because I know on his day Bruno is a great player and can tear defences apart.
“We’ll make sure Bruno is right for when he’s back out on the pitch. If it’s Saturday great, if not then I’ll be speaking to Theo (Farley) and the medical team and we’ll assess him.
Ainsworth added: “Joel is a little bit different. He got a kick on his ankle in the first half. He tried to carry on for me, but went down after five minutes and said ‘I can’t carry on’, which was very professional.
“That’s what I want from my players. Out of respect for his team he said ‘I’m not 100%, let’s get someone on who is’.
“Joel will be assessed but Bruno’s probably closer, however, I wouldn’t rule out Joel for Saturday.
“If it’s just a kick then he can get over that pretty quickly and hopefully we’ll have them both back for this weekend.”
