Sam Wood has called on the Wanderers fans to keep believing as the Blues enter the busy festive period.
The Chairboys faithful stuck with Wood & co last Saturday as they secured a 1-1 draw with high-flying Scunthorpe United in injury-time.
Now the 27-year-old wants the supporters to continue their excellent backing as the boys in light and dark blue look to go one step better and return to winning ways.
“The results aren’t going our way so this is when we need the fans the most, to keep our heads up and to keep pushing us on,” he told Chairboys Player.
“Hopefully they can continue to give us their all over the Christmas period. Keep singing - nice and loud - because the lads buzz off that.”
He added: “We showed courage and determination to get a point last weekend. After the run of results, which haven’t been good, to come back against a good side was positive. We didn’t stop fighting for it.”
Gareth Ainsworth’s men face a busy schedule with five games in the next 15 days, starting with the weekend trip to Northampton Town.
He said: “They’ve not got a bad team on paper but maybe they aren’t gelling and hopefully we can go to their place and upset them.
“This is where we’ve got to dig deep. There’s a good few games to play and points are up for grabs. We’ll be looking to kick-start ourselves and climb that table again.”
