Josh Scowen will miss Saturday’s trip to Northampton Town following his red card against Scunthorpe United.
The midfielder picked up two yellow cards in the space of four minutes for fouls on Eddie Nolan and Sean McAllister, and must now serve a one-match ban.
Scowen’s dismissal was the first of his professional career, but Blues went on to seal a point thanks to Leon Johnson’s dramatic injury-time header.
Boss Gareth Ainsworth said: “I've had a right go at him because I think it's immature, it's reckless.
“There was a foul on him and I think that's why he's seen a little bit of the red mist, but it's something you can't do when you're on a yellow card.
“I've been there, I remember a couple of years ago against Sheffield Wednesday at home I was on a yellow and I've lunged in.
“I learnt my lesson late. Hopefully Josh will learn it early in his career and he won't be doing it again, because that nearly cost us.”
