Gaz: A win is coming

13 December 2013

Blues boss Gareth Ainsworth is confident his side will get back to winning ways sooner rather than later.

Ainsworth’s men go in search of their first league success in eight outings when fourth-placed Scunthorpe United visit Adams Park on Saturday.
“We’ve been creating chances and out-shooting a lot of teams,” the 40-year-old told Chairboys Player.

“It’s just we haven’t converted the chances, it’s that killer instinct. That’s one of a number of things we’ve been working on and hopefully they’ll come to fruition tomorrow.

“If we have to get an ugly win then we’ll take it. Sometimes it might take an ugly performance, but we just need those points to get everyone settled down again.”

He added: “I’ve got them ready, I’ve got them prepared and I know every box has been ticked.

“It will be a tough game as Scunthorpe are a good team. They are all fighting for their caretakers, but we’ve got a team who want to scrap for me. Hopefully on the day we will be the better scrapers and the better football will come out from our side.

“There’s nothing to fear. We are on our own patch and although we’ve not been great there, I feel something’s just around the corner. Tomorrow will be the one.”
