Paris: Versatility could be vital

13 August 2013

Paris Cowan-Hall is hoping his versatility can help the Wanderers enjoy a successful season.

The 22-year-old, who scored on his Chairboys debut in the opening-day victory over Morecambe, is equally adept on the wing or in a more central role, having featured across the forward line for previous club Plymouth Argyle.

Cowan-Hall said: “I’ve played everywhere! I’ve played up top and because I’m fast I’ve played off the shoulders of the defence.

“I played left wing some of last season as well as right wing and in the hole – anywhere across the front three really.

“There are some games that I think to myself I’m an out-and-out winger and there are other games when I’ve played up front, done well and thought ‘this is the one’.

“Up front you’re obviously more likely to score and you’re in the box a lot more.  There’s always that plus and goals pay bills at the end of the day.

“I like getting at people and I like to have a lot of flair. I get that on the wing because I get to have one-on-ones and express myself a bit more. It’s swings and roundabouts.”

Cowan-Hall and the rest of the Wanderers squad are back in Sky Bet League 2 action on Saturday when newly-promoted Mansfield Town visit Adams Park.
