Wanderers can confirm that Charles Dunne agreed to join Championship side Blackpool for an undisclosed fee yesterday, but has immediately returned to Adams Park on a season-long loan.
The 20-year-old, who progressed through the ranks at Wanderers, broke into the first team last season, making the left-back slot his own.
Dunne has impressed in his 49 appearances and was named Wycombe Wanderers Independent Supporters Club’s Most Improved Young Player.
Joint-chairman Don Woodward said: “The club recognise Charles’ talents and appreciate his desire to move up the leagues.
“With only one year left on his contract this is a great deal for the club as we strengthen the finances and retain a brilliant talent for the remainder of the season.”
Dunne is eligible for Saturday’s clash at Oxford United.
