Arnold: We'll come out fighting

21 August 2013

Nick Arnold is confident the Blues can bounce back when they make the short trip to Oxford United on Saturday (k.o 3pm).

Wanderers go into the game looking to put their defeat to Mansfield Town behind them and Arnold, who made his first professional start against the Stags, believes a local derby is the best way to get back into form.

“I was devastated about the performance and result (against Mansfield) but we’ll bounce back at Oxford,” the Reading loanee told Chairboys Player.

“We’re going to come back fighting, Gaz won’t let us not.

“You can’t dwell on defeats because it affects your play and your team. You need to sweep it away and forget about it.

“It’s the perfect game to bounce back, especially at their place too. If I’m involved then I can’t wait to see the atmosphere – I’m sure the fans will turn up in their numbers.

“I’m hoping we’ll get a result and I’m sure we will because we are a strong team and our performance didn’t reflect that.”

Tickets for the game are cheaper if bought in advance from the Wanderers.
