Matt Ingram continued his fine start to life between the posts for the Chairboys with another superb display against Barnet on Saturday.
The 19-year-old was Wanderers’ stand-out performer at Underhill and made a string of fine stops, before finally being beaten by Jake Hyde’s close-range finish 10 minutes from time.
When asked if it was his best game for the Blues, Ingram said: “I would say it was definitely my busiest!
“Before the defence had been excellent and they’ve helped me out a lot. I thought they were excellent again, but more shots came through and I just had to do my bit.
“We never got going really, but I made a few saves.
“It was unfortunate that we didn’t get anything at the end, but as I said we never got going. They are fighting for survival, but it was a great stop from their goalkeeper at the end (to save Joel Grant’s penalty).”
Saturday’s opponents Port Vale are expected to sell-out their allocation for the final day of the season and Ingram says he is already looking forward to trying to finish the campaign on a high in front of the Adams Park faithful.
He added: “Hopefully the fans will all come down and we’ll get a good result. I’m loving playing at Adams Park and the support really helps me.
“The fans were brilliant again at Barnet as they have been all season.”
