Waddock determined to put on a display

14 September 2012

Gary Waddock says Wycombe have a point to prove when they travel to Chesterfield on Saturday (k.o 3pm).

After a strong start to the season, Wanderers have faltered in recent weeks, but the Blues boss is determined to put on a display for the travelling support.

“We want to go and put on a performance for the fans because we haven’t done that in recent weeks,” he told Chairboys Player. “We need to address that, but they’ll (Chesterfield) be right on it.

“I’m extremely determined to get the performances right and make sure that the fans are happy with it home and away. We need to start doing that on Saturday.”

Waddock added: “It’s going to be tough. They’re adjusting to life without the manager, adjusting to life in League 2 like we are and they’ll be looking to impress the current management set-up or whoever comes in. They have a lot to prove, but we have also. I’m looking forward to it.”
