Wycombe Wanderers are proud to be hosting the launch of the countywide Poppy Appeal on Saturday afternoon.
A ceremony to mark the 91st year of the Royal British Legion (RBL) will take place on the pitch ahead of the game with Oxford United, including a speech from Rob Law, county vice chairman of the RBL in Buckinghamshire.
Local cadets will be offering poppies to supporters in exchange for donations in the car park before the game, as part of the Legion's Appeal to support and help those who have served their country and their families. The RBL’s specific focus this year is to support and provide for families in terms of breaks and health for those in need. This is the second year the club has hosted the launch of countywide Poppy Appeal, following the 90th anniversary celebrations of the RBL at the fixture with Sheffield Wednesday last October.
