Wanderers’ Movember team are sporting some serious growth on their upper lips after two weeks, with boss Gareth Ainsworth leading the way.
All of the money raised goes to Prostate Cancer UK so any donations will make a big difference to people’s lives.
“I haven’t forced the rest of the team to do it this year like I did when I was captain last time, but hopefully I’ll raise a few pennies for Prostate Cancer,” Ainsworth told wwfc.com.
“A couple of others around the place are joining in and you’ll see a few taches around Adams Park. I’m sure a few other managers are doing it so I won’t be the only one standing out.
Ainsworth added: “I’m going for the handlebars look as its rock n roll, although my tache is looking a bit greyer this year.”
“All donations will be very welcome and if you can get behind us like you have when we are on the pitch then we will raise some much-needed money.”
Prostate Cancer UK is the Football League’s official charity partner and each season Movember raises awareness and millions of pounds for men’s health.
With the support of its 72 clubs, The Football League and Prostate Cancer UK are aiming to raise both money and awareness of prostate cancer and promote a positive message for men’s health. One in nine men will develop prostate cancer at some stage in their life and every hour someone dies from the disease.
Last season fans from across professional football raised more than £50,000 and the challenge is on to smash that figure.
