Report: Windsor 1-3 Blues

23 July 2012

Late goals from Olly Taylor and Gareth Ainsworth added to Lee Angol’s first strike for the Blues as an inexperienced Wycombe side beat Windsor 3-1.

Matt Ingram produced a fine diving save late on to deny Windsor a second, but the Blues saw the game out to maintain their unbeaten start to pre-season.

It was 3-1 three minutes later when substitute Gareth Ainsworth converted Junior Morias’ pass.

Wycombe created chances in the second half with Olly Taylor and Jesse Kewley-Graham going close, but they had to wait until the 81st minute to retake the lead when Tayor finished well from Kewley-Graham’s pass.

McClure had a header cleared off the line and the lively Angol was involved in most things, however, the hosts equalised 10 minutes before the break through Ben Harris.

Matt McClure had an effort parried away and Josh Scowen fired over the bar for the Wanderers, but Windsor were also creating chances.

Angol opened the scoring in the ninth minute when he finished from close-range after having an initial effort saved by the Windsor keeper.

Ingram, Ighorae (Ehui 60), Trialist, Hause, Basey, Trialist (Ainsworth 60), Scowen, Kewley-Graham, Kretzschmar (Taylor 46), McClure (Morais 65), Angol.
